A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DIETARY AIDE
As a Dietary Aide at our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, you play a critical role in in ensuring that residents receive proper nutrition and hydration and supporting their nutritional needs and overall well-being .
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in food service or nutrition is a plus.
- Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting, is desirable but not always required.
- Basic understanding of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation principles. Familiarity with therapeutic diets is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with residents, families, and staff. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry trays or supplies, and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and reaching.
